"Tiny Talk" Infant Sign Language

Berger Hospital is the first hospital in Central Ohio to offer this class.
"Tiny Talk" is an introductory class to baby sign language. Babies are able to "talk" before they can form their words. Babies use their hands every day and your baby has something to tell you long before they learn to say the words. In this "Tiny Talk" class, you will learn basic sign language skills to use with your baby. Parents can start signing to baby around 6 to 7 months of age, and their baby will start signing back around 8 to 9 months of age or beyond. It is never too late to start signing with your child! You will see, hear and practice the beginning instructions about infant sign language. The "Tiny Talk" class is intended for parents, grandparents or caregivers who want to learn the basics of infant sign language. Because you need to learn the skills first, we suggest you attend "Tiny Talk" without your baby. Additional classes may be offered to include both parent and baby.
Classes are held Thursdays 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Cost: $15.00 (includes your take home copy of Sign With Your Baby by author Dr. Joseph Garcia.)
Registration deadline is two weeks prior to start of the class. May be attended before or after delivery.
