Berger Hospital Gift Shop Volunteers

Nearly 100 volunteers are needed to staff the busy Berger Hospital Gift Shop. The shop offers a variety of items including fresh flowers, cards, candles and more, and it is frequented often by patients, visitors and community members.
The Gift Shop is located just off of the hospital's main lobby and offers volunteers an opportunity to interact with hospital guests. Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of one four hour shift per month.
In addition, the Gift Shop volunteers have partnered with Bradley Cancer Center to open a special retail shop specifically for cancer patients, providing wigs and prosthetics. Hope's Corner Retail Shop is located at the Bradley Cancer Center, on the ground floor of the Noecker Building. The shop is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Proceeds from both stores are used to help provide additional equipment for patient care. In addition, the group donates items for Berger Health Foundation fundraising events, and funds a $1,000, four-year, renewable scholarship for a high school graduate pursuing a health-related degree.
